Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Head to our Printable Shop to download the Systems of the Human Body pages

Step 2

For each system there are two pages, one with a blank body, and one that is a complete body system. Layer the blank body on top of the complete so it is stacked cleanly together.

Step 3

Provide a small bowl with baby oil or vegetable oil.

Step 4

Soak a cotton ball slightly in the oil and use it to brush over the blank body to reveal the body system. It is like magic!

Educational Talking Points While Learning the Systems of the Body for Kids

The human body is incredibly complex. This activity allows children to discover some of the major systems of the human body. Here are the systems covered and some information you can discuss with your kiddos!

The Skeletal System: It forms the hard structure of the body. It is made up of bones, ligaments, and tendons. It protects our organs.

Cardiovascular System: Also known as the circulatory system, it involves the process of delivering nutrients throughout the body byway of the heart, blood, and blood vessels.

Musclar System: This system is made up of a special tissue, called muscles. It allows our body to move and our organs to function properly.

Respiratory System: It allows our body to breath in oxygen, and release carbon dioxide.

Digestive System: This system is all about how the body processes food into nutrients and energy.

Nervous System: This system allows the brain to control the body’s functions and the different parts of the body to communicate. It involves the brain, spinal cord, and network of nerves.

Endocrine System: It involves the pancreas, adrenal glands, thyroid, and other glands that produce hormones necessary for our body to function.

Urogenital System: This system includes both the organs of the reproductive system and the urinary system.
