- Orange food coloring
- Vinegar (or hand sanitizer for faster drying)
- Scoops, spoons, or small cups

Step-by-Step Instructionsย

Dye the rice: Place your rice in a large zip-top bag. Add a few drops of orange food coloring and a teaspoon of vinegar (or hand sanitizer). Seal the bag and shake until all the rice is evenly coated. Spread the rice out on a tray or baking sheet to dry for about 1โ2 hours.

Prepare the containers: While the rice is drying, use a permanent marker to draw fun jack-o-lantern faces on clear containers of various sizes.
Step 3
Set up the sensory bin: Once the rice is dry, pour it into a large bin or tray. Arrange the containers and provide your child with scoops, spoons, or small cups for scooping and pouring.
