Educational Benefits of the Teeth Brushing Game

The main thing this activity teaches your kiddos is the importance of brushing their teeth. Personal hygiene is a very important part of a child’s education.

While they are learning about why they brush them and how to do it correctly, they are also learning a lot about science, too.

The very first step in digestion is chewing up the food and saliva helps break the food down. What causes cavities? What causes bad breath?

These are all scientific questions that are also early biology education too. They will learn about decay and cleanliness and physical health.

As a side benefit, it makes the daily act of brushing their teeth a lot more fun!

Plus you can use this set up to learn a host of other early childhood education skills. Write the alphabet on the teeth and task your kiddo with scrubbing the letters away. This is great for letter recognition.

Alternatively, write numbers on the teeth and have your kiddo erase them in number order or use a multi-sided dice for a game! There are so many ways to adapt this teeth brushing activity!
